Patricia Purcell (Director of Development), brings exceptional program management expertise combined with rigorous scientific training. Dr. Purcell earned her doctorate in Genetics from Harvard University and accumulated over twenty years of experience in molecular genetics and cell biology research across prestigious institutions, including Harvard Medical School, Boston Children's Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and the Forsyth Institute.

Most recently, she served as Project Manager for the Kellis Group at MIT from 2019 to 2024, successfully managing complex research operations that exceeded forty personnel and administering grant portfolios totaling more than $22 million. Her proven ability to coordinate multi-institutional collaborations, translate complex technical concepts into compelling grant narratives, and create supportive work environments that promote trust and community makes her ideally qualified to oversee the Foundation's comprehensive funding strategy. Dr. Purcell leads all major grant applications, including submissions to ARPA-H, NIH, Convergent Research, and Wellcome Leap, ensuring sustainable support for the Foundation's transformative health initiatives.
